Jordan Landscaping

The Jordan location is stocked with bulk mulch, decorative rock, dirt, boulders, and select landscape supplies. It serves customers in the cities of New Prague, Jordan, Elko-New Market, Montgomery, Shakopee and Prior Lake.

Jordan Landscaping largely desert eastern section of Jordan is characterized by broad expanses of sand and dunes, together with salt flats. A few jumbles of sandstone hills or low mountains support sparse and stunted vegetation. Most of the country’s population centers are located here, especially in and around Amman, Zarqa and Irbid.

Jordan Landscaping: Enhancing Outdoor Spaces with Professional Care

At the country’s western edge is a series of depressions and riverbeds, known as wadis. A few of these – particularly the Jordan River-Dead Sea depression – are watershed basins, but most carry only a short season of water after winter rains. The high escarpments that flank these basins are rocky and barren, with a climate drier than that of the lowland valleys.

As a landscape architect, Jordan applies the math and engineering that drove him to major in architecture during his first year at UD to the creative rush of designing outdoor spaces. He is one of many UD alumni who discovered this love of design later in life, a career path facilitated by the University’s interdisciplinary approach to environmental, civil and landscape architecture. He is currently the Rural Advocacy Director for The Wilderness Society’s Community-Led Conservation Program and previously led landscape conservation campaigns across the Yellowstone to Yukon region. He also serves as a board member for an art initiative Blackfoot Pathways: Sculpture in the Wild and spent several summers guiding wilderness whitewater rafting trips.…
